We had an absolutely PERFECT day for our annual Fishing Derby for Kids at Saxony Farm Lake this year! The weather was fantastic with sunshine all day and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Over 750 people visited the lake to reel in bass, bluegill, catfish and sunfish! Breaking records this year we had the largest catch in the history of the event – an enormous 22-in largemouth bass! (Check out the photos below)
Prizes were given out every half hour for the largest and smallest catch as well as special prizes throughout the day! Here are a few fast facts from the day: we went through 900 hot dogs, 330 pounds of ice and 4,000 worms! A special thank you to our friends at Sprankle’s Neighborhood Markets for their donation, help at the event and a little pre-event promotion! And a huge thanks to our sponsors:
