Serving Beyond Our Walls
Through Concordia Missions, employees and residents come together to respond to needs throughout the communities Concordia serves. Mission efforts take many forms – from volunteering and collection drives to fundraising, handmade comfort projects, outreach and partnerships with community organizations.
Since 2022, Concordia Missions has supported nearly 100 mission efforts, with each response shaped by what will be most meaningful and helpful to the people and communities being served.
Recognizing Mission in Action
The Stephen W. Johnson Mission Award, Concordia’s highest employee honor, recognizes employees who exemplify the values of our mission through their everyday lives. Recipients and finalists are recognized for compassion, service and a genuine commitment to others both within Concordia and throughout their communities.
