Fun Times at the 2020 Kids Fishing Days | PHOTOS

The annual Concordia Fishing Derby may have looked a bit different this year but the abundance of bluegills, kids’ smiles and quality family time spent safely outdoors kept the spirit of this tradition alive! (Read more for photo slideshow)

The event, temporarily renamed for the 2020 year as Concordia’s Kids Fishing Days, spanned over three consecutive Saturdays in late July and early August, with two fishing sessions per day. We safely welcomed up to 100 registered guests per session to the beautiful Lake Saxony located on the Saxony Farm Estates.

Our young fishers and their families were able to enjoy safe-distanced catch and release fishing, free hot dogs and refreshments and had the chance to win really awesome door prizes, thanks in part to generous donations by Jeff and Autumn Cooper of Saxonburg and the founder of the fishing derby, Mr. Charlie himself! We want to thank our team of volunteers and our wonderful guests who came out to support this very special community event.

If you were unable to stop by, check out the pictures below (click photos to enlarge)! And if you were there and have any pictures that you would like to share, feel free to post them to the Concordia Facebook Wall!
