Another Great Evening for 2018 Concordia Dog Show | PHOTOS

For the last 18 years, the Annual Concordia Dog Show has been blessed with pretty good weather. Hot and humid, some years, but always dry. The day of this year’s event looked a little different. Held the evening of August 16 in the Lund Care Center back yard, rain fell most of the morning and into the afternoon. After debating whether or not to cancel the show for the first time, luckily, we were able to get a tent that afternoon… just in time for the rain to stop and the sun to come out! We had approximately 160 residents, staff and community members come out to cheer on the 20 dogs strutting their stuff onstage! Special thanks to our resident judges – Doris I., Stella T., Dusty H., and Terry H. – as well as our resident and staff volunteers for making the event a success again this year! Without further adieu, here are your winners in each category:

• Best Performer: Ginger – Chocolate Lab
• Most Obedient: Bella – Golden Retriever
• Most Friendly: Rocky – Basenji
• Best Groomed: Hershey – Jack Russell /Chihuahua Mix
