Hope’s Road (formerly Good Samaritan Hospice’s Youth Bereavement Care) will host a free Summer Drop In Session for grieving youths and their families from 3 – 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at Middlesex Township Park, 133Browns Hill Rd., Valencia, PA 16059.
Children will have an opportunity to participate in a group story reading about coping with change, while teens and young adults can take part in a guided nature walk. A caricature artist will also be at the park, offering fun, family drawings for attendees to enjoy. This session is open to those coping with grief and those simply seeking relaxation. Registration is highly encouraged by July 13, but walk-ins are welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. While Hope’s Road programming is rooted in the Christian faith and includes prayer, it is open to all faiths and backgrounds. Spiritual and bereavement coordinators will be available to provide support and guidance.
The event provides a joyful space for families coping with loss. Attendees will also have the chance to learn more about Hope’s Road and the support services Good Samaritan Hospice offers.
Registration is highly encouraged by July 13. Walk-ins are welcome.
