Hope’s Road: The Art of Healing (2026)

March 14, 2026 | 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Hope’s Road (formerly Good Samaritan Hospice’s Youth Bereavement Care) will host a free event for children, teens, young adults and their families who have experienced the death of a loved one on Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Steele’s Brushes and Ceramics studio (1631 N Main St Ext, Butler, PA 16001). Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

The free event, titled “The Art of Healing,” will be an artistic workshop open to bereaved children, teens and young adults, as well as their caregivers. Attendees will be invited to pray and create pottery and paint in memory of a loved one to express emotions and form bonds with other families facing grief. Artistic activities will be facilitated by Steele’s Brushes and Ceramics.

Lunch will be provided for all guests, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

While our bereavement programs are rooted in the Christian faith, they offer a supportive environment that welcomes individuals of all faiths or backgrounds.

Registration is strongly encouraged by March 9, but walk-ins are welcome.
