Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free Youth Bereavement Care Event from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in the family supportive services room at its Middlesex Township location, 116 Browns Hill Rd., Valencia, PA 16059.
The event, titled “Stronger than Grief,” will focus on helping grieving youth realize they are stronger than grief by exploring their own individual superpowers.
The event and GSH’s Youth Bereavement Care is open to bereaved youth up to age 21, and all youth must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own graphic novel and make a superhero cape or shirt. Adults can relax and unwind in an adult breakout session with support from a bereavement coordinator. Lunch will be provided for all guests.
