Good Samaritan Hospice “Learning to Laugh Again” Weekly Support Group (2026)

Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a free weekly adult grief support group titled “Learning to Laugh Again ” this summer.
The group will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 29 through Sept. 2, at Freeport Area Library, 428 Market Street, Freeport, PA 16229.
The subject matter will focus on Allen Kelin’s book, “The Healing Power of Humor”, as just one resource to help participants understand that “it’s okay” to learn to laugh again.
The group will be led by GSH Bereavement Coordinator Marcia Jones-Washington and is not recommended for those in the early stages of grief (less than 3 months).
