October 8, 2026 | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a free weekly journaling grief support group from 1–2:30 p.m. on Thursdays from Oct. 8 through Nov. 12, 2026, at the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, Suite 300 Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
This free “Writing to Heal: Processing Grief Through the Pen” bereavement support group will be led by GSH Bereavement Coordinator John Porter.
This grief group is for individuals who may be further along in their grief but feel there is more to be written about their journey. Together the group will explore the challenges of grieving, learn how to use creative writing to process feelings and offer support to one another. Journals will be provided to all attendees.
Many people find that learning more about grief, connecting with others and listening to other people’s stories helps them feel comforted on their grief journey.
Registration is required for this support group by Sept. 30.
