Good Samaritan Hospice Crochet Grief Support Group (Sept. — Nov. 2026)

September 24, 2026 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Good Samaritan Hospice (GSH), a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will host a free weekly adult grief support group from 10–11:30 a.m. on Thursdays from Sept. 24 through Nov. 5 at Butler Area Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001.

The “Is Grief Tying You in Knots?” Crochet Grief Support Group will be led by GSH Bereavement Coordinator Christina Reuschlein, MSW.

In a safe and welcoming space, participants will receive faith-filled encouragement and grief education while learning crochet as a coping skill.

No crochet experience is necessary. With each stitch, participants will weave together hope, healing, prayer and love.

The shawl each participant creates can serve as a reminder of their healing journey or as a gift of comfort for someone else.

Registration is required by Sept. 10.

For more information or to sign up, call the GSH bereavement team at 1-800-720-2557.
