Canceled: Fishing with your Grandparents on Grandparents Day 2023

Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free Youth Bereavement Care fishing event on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the pond behind Concordia at Cabot’s Lund Care Center (134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023, Entrance 4).

The event, titled “Fishing with your Grandparents on Grandparents Day,” will be a free fishing outing for kids and their grandparents.

Attendees can enjoy a relaxing day of fishing with their families, with free bait, small crafts and free food. A fishing license is not needed for kids under 16, but all children will require a chaperone.

A limited number of fishing poles will be on hand for kids to borrow, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have one.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets as well, if possible.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is strongly encouraged by Friday, Sept. 8.
