My Concordia Career: Melanie Stewart’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Melanie Stewart!

Melanie began her Concordia career in March of 2008 as a midnight LPN at our Concordia at Cabot campus. In 2012, she achieved her PCH Administrator certification and during this time period she was also promoted to the midnight Supervisor in Cabot. Melanie transferred to Concordia at Rebecca Residence in 2016 when she accepted the role of Resident Care Coordinator. She now currently holds the role of PCH Administrator for Rebecca Residence!

When we asked Melanie to succinctly describe Concordia, she said “second family”:

“I have learned over the years that Concordia really is a family because that is how the organization treats everyone – we are understanding during times of need and compassionate with residents, families and team members.”

Melanie had the following to say when we asked her why she chooses to work for Concordia:

“Concordia supports employee training and career development within the organization. Concordia fosters good employee relationships and promotes fairness across the board. I have worked at several companies before I came here and not one of those companies treat you like Concordia does. Here, you are family, not a number!”

Her favorite Concordia memories are centered around the support of her colleagues and her relationships with our residents:

“My favorite memories go back to my time at the Concordia at Cabot campus and the support the team showed me. I specifically recall exceptional coaching from Anne Denny, Hope Rouda, Charity Chacalos, and many others who helped me succeed every step of the way. I have also enjoyed each and every resident I cared for and have enjoyed how they have become a part of my family.”

Melanie spends her time outside of Concordia relaxing as much as she can, pool side, with her spouse! They spend a lot of quality family time together and both enjoy being outdoors in the nice weather.

We asked Melanie what motivates her to succeed, she responded with this endearing answer:

“I get great enjoyment making others happy and knowing they are happy. That is what makes me feel successful!”
