The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Marcia Puchlopek!

Marcia joined the Concordia family in November of 1997 as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Concordia at Cabot. Her career soon progressed and she accepted a role in restorative nursing prior to transitioning to our therapy department as a rehab coordinator. In 2014, Marcia transferred to Concordia Visiting Nurses and now serves as an Office Coordinator for their New Castle satellite location. She told us how arrived at Concordia.

“I was going through a transition in my life and was looking for a job with better pay and benefits. I was also a caregiver for my mother for many years and would be able to use those skills at Concordia. I saw an ad in the newspaper and the rest is history!”

Marcia describes Concordia as “dynamic” and told us why she chooses to work for our organization.

“I feel fulfilled here. All of Concordia’s facilities are top notch. I think the staff makes Concordia. It is wonderful to work with a team who, like myself, genuinely loves to help others. With the many hats that I’ve worn I have learned so much about each position. I feel this is where God wants me to be. I find peace working here.”

Marcia has several favorite memories, many of which are jovial moments shared between her and her co-workers. She recalled one particular memory that landed her a nickname she would carry with her ever since.

“I was working in the therapy department at the time and was cleaning the hydrocollator in our gym. I received a phone call while I was filling it with water and well, it overflowed into the office of Mr. Frndak, our President and CEO. From that point on, Dave Drane, who is now Concordia’s head of maintenance, has called me Noah.”

Marcia has many passions that keep her busy outside of work!

“I love to spend time with my grandchildren and children, but this has been hard lately because of the virus. We have a pretty big garden that keeps us busy in the summer. I love listening to many genres of music. I play piano as well – mostly classical. I also love going on long walks.”

She cites her desire to help others as a motivator to succeed.

“I like to help! I have pride in what I do because I try to do my job to the best of my ability.”
