My Concordia Career: Lisa Delso’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Lisa Delso!

Lisa Delso joined the Concordia family in July of 2016 as a Clinical Scheduler for Concordia Visiting Nurses (CVN). She later transitioned into CVN’s Medical Records department before accepting her current Liaison Support Coordinator role. Lisa is enrolled in Citizens School of Nursing RN program and expects to graduate in May of 2020.

Lisa describes Concordia as a “community” and told us why she chooses to work for our organization.

“Concordia empowers and encourages their workforce to embrace the spirit of volunteerism. This core belief positively impacts the surrounding communities and enhances their vitality.”

She continued, “One of the main reasons I choose to work for Concordia is because of the organization’s commitment to invest in their employees. I have recently had the opportunity to take advantage of their progressive educational assistance initiatives. These initiatives encouraged me to work towards earning my RN degree. I also appreciate Concordia’s innovative vision on how to improve on the delivery of healthcare and expand our reach to offer services to those in need.”

The opportunities Concordia provides to give back to our communities through various missions and volunteer events is very important to Lisa and her family.

“My favorite Concordia memories are of my times spent volunteering. My family and I love to face paint at the annual Summer Festival!”

Lisa spends her time outside of Concordia supporting our Pittsburgh sports teams! She and her family love to attend baseball, hockey and football games. And when she’s not busy working, studying for nursing school, attending sporting events, and graciously volunteering her time, you’re likely to find Lisa in the throes of her favorite hobby – vacation and event planning for family and friends!

Lisa told us that her family are her main motivators to succeed and in turn she motivates her children in their own journeys towards success.

“My husband and I try to show our children that they are able to overcome challenges and that you always have a choice to do better and become a better person than the person you are today.”
