My Concordia Career: Linda Cairns’ Story

LindaCairnsEdit

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals! Let us introduce you to Linda Cairns!

Linda is a Certified Nursing Assistant for Concordia at Cabot and celebrated her 20-year anniversary with Concordia on December 3. She describes Concordia in a word as “compassionate.”

In addition to being a Certified Nursing Assistant for us, Linda has held the role of Residential Aide and currently serves as our BLS Instructor and New Hire Instructor at our Cabot campus!

Linda said that the main reason she chooses to work for Concordia is the superior and conscientious care given to our residents:

“Concordia’s reputation of providing high quality care is founded. Other reasons I chose Concordia initially was the starting wage and the nice benefits package.”

In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting her grandkids, cooking, baking and doing yardwork.

When we asked Linda what her favorite Concordia memory was, she provided this cute anecdote:

“I enjoy spending time with the residents. One New Year’s Eve in particular I had worked 10 – 6 p.m., myself and other staff brought in hot dogs and sauerkraut for us and the residents to share after our shift. It was nice to eat, visit and ring in the New Year with our residents.”

Congratulations Linda on your 20 years of service with Concordia! You have been a positive light around on our campus, and we look forward to many more years with you!
