My Concordia Career: Beth Leo’s Story

Beth Leo Work

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals!

For our inaugural “My Concordia Career” post, we introduce you to Beth Leo, Director of Food Service at Concordia of Monroeville and Harmony Physical Rehabilitation. Beth is celebrating her seventh anniversary with Concordia this October and we are so happy to have her as part of our family!

Beth, a culinary trained chef, started her Concordia Career in 2011 as a Dietary Aide at Concordia of the South Hills and within a few short months she was promoted to Dietary Manager. In 2014, Beth was promoted to Executive Chef for Concordia of Franklin Park and Concordia of Wexford. Since 2017 Beth has held the mentioned position of Director of Food Services. She also oversees the Enviornmental Services Department for both Concordia of Monroeville and Harmony Physical Rehabilitation.

When asked to describe Concordia in one word, Beth stated, “Desirable. I choose this word because the “Concordia Way” that we have come to know and love is something that is desirable, not just at work, but in our home lives as well. We strive to do good and to influence the others around us to do good.”

Beth came to Concordia after she was offered an opportunity to follow her Executive Chef from a previous employer, “I fell in love with the ability to grow within Concordia, and most importantly, the every day opportunity to serve the community in God’s name.”

Beth cites the want to help others, the opportunity to influence others to do good, and the desire to change people’s lives with simple, kind gestures as motivation for her success and the success of Concordia.
