My Concordia Career: Alyssa Mormur’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you to Alyssa Mormur!

Alyssa joined the Concordia family in April of 2017 as a full-time Nursing Assistant for Concordia at Ridgewood Place. In addition to providing assistance with daily activities to our residents, she also serves as a Medication Aide. She first worked for us a little over a decade ago after high school.

“I first learned about Concordia’s career opportunities because I lived close to Ridgewood Place while in high school. I applied after I graduated and worked here from 2008 – 2010. I really liked the company and that’s why I came back.”  

Alyssa describes Concordia as “caring” and told us about the many reasons she chooses to work for our organization.

“I work here because I enjoy helping others. I have also learned more about my field at Concordia than I feel I would have at another facility. The health benefits, retirement plan and all of the employee appreciation events are great. There are also many advancement opportunities for those who would like to grow their career.”

She told us that she best serves her residents by coming to work each day ready to help them in whatever way that she can and that she considers them, along with her fellow team members, family.

“I love my residents and co-workers! The opportunity to work with both my mom and dad at one time plus becoming like family with my residents and co-workers has provided me with many favorite Concordia memories.”

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys taking her dogs for walks on nearby trails and spending quality time with her family, who she cites as her motivators to succeed.

“I want to be the best version of myself that I can be for my family.”
