Concordia’s 2023 Spring Fling Luncheon: Wildflower Wishes

The 15th bi-annual Concordia Spring Fling Luncheon (formerly our Fashion Show), themed as “Wildflower Wishes,” hosted more than 240 residents, staff and family members, local community and church members for a day of fashions, fun and delicious food on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Butler Country Club.

The audience was entertained by the Freeport High School Forté Show Choir, 45 auction baskets, 130 mystery bags and a dozen vendors. Final figures have not been calculated, but preliminary reports show the event generated almost $20,000 to benefit the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund for charitable care.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event: our committee members, volunteers, basket donors and all of our attendees. Special thanks to our Concordia Haven Retirement Apartment residents, Jean Ann Jones, Brent & Marianne Miller and an anonymous donor.
