Concordia Oktoberfest Returns | Photos

Concordia’s annual Oktoberfest made its full return on Saturday, October 2, after the event was modified last year and limited to a drive-in fireworks show on the Concordia at Cabot campus due to the pandemic. It was great to welcome families, friends and community members back to the Cabot campus to enjoy all of the festivities once again!

Absolutely gorgeous autumn weather set the tone for a joyous day full of seasonal fun for the entire family. Authentic German food, prepared by our talented in-house chefs and food service team, ranged from sauerbraten and bratwurst to spaetzle and kielbasa with several Bavarian dishes in between – it’s safe to say that no one left hungry! The PolkaMeisters and Accordionist Lou Gamber entertained the crowd with polka favorites. Our kid attendees (including our “kids at heart” guests) enjoyed a range of activities including hayrides, pumpkin decorating, face stenciling and temporary tattoos, pony rides, bouncy house fun and cool balloons twisted and designed to their liking from artist Steve Haberman!

Oktoberfest concluded with a spectacular fireworks display by Pyrotecnico! Special thanks to our friends who generously sponsored a portion of the fireworks display:

• BioSafety Services
• Get It Done Mailing Service, Inc.
• State Industrial Products

THANK YOU to all who attended, our team members who helped coordinate the event and the volunteers who graciously donated their time to ensure the successful return of Oktoberfest!
