A steady and cold rain didn’t stop over 800 guests from enjoying Concordia’s annual Oktoberfest!
Our attendees found warmth and comfort in delicious German dishes, prepared in-house by our talented food service team, that included spätzle, sauerbraten, Bavarian style pork roast, kielbasa, sauerkraut, bratwurst and more!
The Mikey Dee Polka Band brought the crowd to the dance floor with polka favorites and John Huss Evangelical Lutheran Church hosted a successful bake sale. Kid attendees enjoyed a craft table hosted by Good Samaritan Hospice Youth Bereavement Care, pumpkin decorating, face stenciling, temporary tattoos, pony rides, bouncy house fun, creating giant bubbles and learning to sign their names courtesy of our friends from Pittsburgh Lutheran Deaf Ministry. The event concluded with a spectacular fireworks display by Pyrotecnico.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all who braved the elements to help us celebrate Concordia’s heritage – all attendees, our team members who helped coordinate the event and especially our awesome team of volunteers.
