Concordia Names Karen Daum Chief Development Officer

Karen Daum was recently appointed Chief Development Officer of Concordia Lutheran Ministries. A graduate of Grove City College, Daum worked at Concordia from 2006 to 2018 in a different role before serving as major gifts officer, senior major gifts officer and vice president of development and communication for two other western PA non-profit organizations.

“Concordia continues to fulfill its mission by growing and serving more of God’s people with excellent care every day,” Daum said. “It’s a privilege to return to Concordia and add value to the exceptional work being done at such a special place.”

As Chief Development Officer, Daum will lead Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ fundraising efforts to align with the mission and strategic plan of the organization, ensuring sustainable financial support. This will include her team building constituent relationships, writing grant proposals and organizing fundraising campaigns and events.

“I love the unlimited possibilities of contributing to meaningful change and helping improve the lives of others by connecting those looking to make an impact or leave a legacy to an extraordinary nonprofit,” Daum said. “I genuinely enjoy hearing the stories of other people. It brings me immense joy to connect others to a mission of an incredible nonprofit so they can make a positive difference in God’s world.”

Daum lives in Center Township with her husband, Dave. They have two grown children, Josh Daum and Kaylie Baker and a son-in-law, Ryan Baker, as well as two grandsons, Cameron and Landon.
