Concordia Announces Leadership Changes

Leonard Quimby, Director of Facility-Based Operations

Leonard Quimby, NHA, was recently appointed director of facility-based operations at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. A graduate of Slippery Rock University, Quimby has worked in the healthcare industry for 26 years.

As director of facility-based operations, Quimby will work in collaboration with Concordia’s chief operating officer to support the overall operations and services within Concordia’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities while fostering additional synergy with Concordia’s home and community service agencies.

“It’s the people at all levels that make Concordia a special place to work and thrive, and I quickly realized that the moment I walked through the doors,” he said. “I should have made the journey here years ago. The mission statement and values of this organization are well known, respected and honored.”

Quimby lives in New Castle, Pa., with his wife Amy and three children, Ross, Raygan and Reese. They are members of St. Vitus Church in New Castle, Pa.

Karen McCreary, Chief Nursing and Innovation Officer

Karen McCreary, MBA, BSN, RN, CPC-A, was recently named chief nursing and innovation officer of Concordia Community Support Services, the managing company for Concordia’s home and community services. McCreary has worked in the healthcare industry for over 35 years and has held various clinical and leadership roles at Concordia since 2006. She served as the chief operating officer from 2014 – 2019 and, most recently, the director of special projects.

In her new role, McCreary brings her expertise in technology and dedication to enhancing the quality of care, increasing efficiency and improving clinical services.

“I am passionate about nursing and eager to explore new opportunities in emerging technologies that can advance healthcare delivery, enhance quality, reduce costs and improve patient and clinician satisfaction at Concordia,” McCreary said.

McCreary lives with her husband, Tom, in Butler and has two grown children, Jonathan and Haley. She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church-Saint Francis Assisi Parish.

Laura McGraw, Concordia Visiting Nurses Executive Director

Laura McGraw, RN, was recently named executive director of Concordia Visiting Nurses. McGraw has worked for Concordia for 18 years, most recently serving as the Cabot and Monroeville branch manager.

As executive director of Concordia Visiting Nurses, McGraw will manage day-to-day operations and activities of the agency, which has three office locations in western Pennsylvania and serves over 19,000 people every year with high-quality home health care.

“It has been a blessing and honor to be a part of this agency’s growth and development,” McGraw said. “I look forward to helping my team grow. Concordia is a family, and we treat those who entrust us with their care like family, too.”

McGraw lives in Sarver with her husband Casey and two children, Adalynn and Preston.
