A little rain wasn’t enough to stop the campers and volunteers at Camp Erin Pittsburgh from having an excellent weekend – and learning a few things about life and dealing with grief.
Close to 100 kids and teens who have experienced the loss of a loved one took over YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee in Fombell for a few days of activities, swimming, water parks, obstacle courses, ropes courses, zip lines, therapy dogs, sports, music…. wait, this doesn’t sound like what most people think of when they hear “bereavement camp,” ay?
Special thanks to all the volunteers, donors, sponsors, staff and anyone who supported the Camp in some way this year! Here are some pictures from the weekend. Make sure you head over to the Camp Erin Pittsburgh Facebook Page and give it a Like! For more info on Camp Erin Pittsburgh, visit the website or call Good Samaritan Hospice at 724-933-8888.
