The event, which benefits the new Garden of Prayer at the Concordia at Sumner campus, will begin at noon with shopping and registration, followed by lunch at 1:30 p.m., then the fashion show begins at 2:15 p.m. Fashions by “Cynthia’s Boutique” - with locations in both Fairlawn and Akron - will be modeled by Concordia staff, residents and members of the Louise Sumner Board as well as the Boutique employees. The Mistress of Ceremonies will once again be Deborah Plate, DO of the Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Several vendors will be on hand for your shopping pleasure. Numerous themed baskets valued at $100 or more will be auctioned as well as a few items presented in a silent auction.

The long-awaited Highpointe at Rebecca Grand Opening Celebration will be held from 2-5 p.m. If you have not seen this building yet, you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Good Samaritan Hospice 2017 Memorial Walk

Bring your family and friends together for the annual Good Samaritan Hospice Memorial Walk from 1 - 3 p.m. This celebration is for you, your family and anyone who touched the life of your loved one. Patients, families and our staff have a chance to reconnect and remember those we lost.
Following an opening prayer service and tribute to those we have lost, participants will walk a mile to commemorate their loved ones. There will be refreshments, kids activities and a short ceremony to celebrate those Good Samaritan Hospice staff present. Walk-ups are welcome, but registration is highly encouraged. Registration is complimentary.
Anyone can purchase a $10 footprint for your loved one to be placed on the “Celebrate the Journey” commemorative display. All proceeds benefit Good Samaritan Hospice's special program of care to community residents facing a life-limiting illness. Annual Concordia Oktoberfest

Concordia at Cabot
The annual Concordia Oktoberfest features fun for the entire family from 4 – 8 p.m.! Admission is free. For children 12 and under, there will be free food vouchers, a balloon artist, games, crafts, hayrides, pumpkin painting, face painting, a bounce house and more. The Mikey Dee Polka Band will play throughout the evening until our spectacular Zambelli Fireworks display at 7:45 p.m. There will also be a rummage sale from 4-6 p.m., tours of Concordia Haven Apartments and Lund Care Center and a baked goods/homemade noodles sale to benefit a number of area Lutheran churches.
Our chefs have prepared a German-themed menu featuring Bavarian pork roast, kielbasa/kraut, bratwurst, sauerbraten, Bavarian pretzels, apple cider and MUCH more (including Sam Adams Octoberfest and commemorative Concordia Oktoberfest mugs). Concordia Visiting Nurses will be on hand to offer a Flu Shot and Blood Pressure Clinic

The Lexus Club at PNC Park
The Fourth Annual Camp Erin Purse Gala, presented by New York Life, is a fundraiser for Camp Erin Pittsburgh (a ministry of Good Samaritan Hospice), a weekend bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one. Tickets are $75 for regular admission and $100 for V.I.P. admission. The event features upscale food and drinks, 20+ designer bags, a silent auction and more. Complimentary parking is included in Red Lot 6, thanks to ALCO Parking. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities still available!
