My Concordia Career: Lauren Demek’s Story

The Concordia Team is comprised of many talented and compassionate employees who have graciously served our mission in a variety of ways – and we are excited for you to meet these fantastic individuals. Let us introduce you Lauren Demek!

Lauren is the Informatics Specialist for Concordia Community Support Services (CCSS). She began her Concordia career in November of 2011 as a Clinical Scheduler for Concordia Visiting Nurses. Lauren’s career developed over the years and she held the roles of Clinical Management Assistant and Face-to-Face Coordinator before assuming her current position with CCSS.

Lauren describes Concordia as “passionate.”

“I currently work with three service lines – home health, hospice, and private duty – and I’ve been blessed to work with very passionate people. The Concordia family is comprised of wonderful people who are passionate about their patients, their residents, their careers, and the mission of the organization.”

Lauren states that there are many reasons why she chooses to work for Concordia, but she most enjoys the organization’s family-oriented work environment, compassionate culture and faith-based values.

Like many of our previous employee features, she cites the annual Christmas party as one of her favorite memories.

“I have made many memories at Concordia in my eight years that will last a lifetime! The Christmas parties are always at the top of my list as it’s a special time of year to celebrate with special people.”

Lauren enjoys spending her time outside of Concordia with her husband Justin and two sons, Brody, 5, and Bentley, who is 4 months. They are currently in the process of building their forever home. She loves to cook and bake and is perpetually guilty of preparing too much food!

Lauren said her family motivates her to succeed.

“Without the support from my family and friends, I would not be who I am today. They push me to be a better person and to always reach for the stars!”
